With 898 acres of wildflowers, forest animals, streams and ponds, the preserve delights hikers with its 4.5 miles of trails featuring informative stations. It is located just west of Fort Bragg in Southern Pines. The preserve’s 1000 square foot museum has an on-site naturalist and features interactive exhibits on everything from native plants and animals to the region's historic naval stores industry.
